Bambu Lab does not sell an extended warranty in the United States. Its Extended Warranty Service adds one year after the standard warranty for the H2C, H2D, H2S, P2S and X2D, bought new from its Canadian, European or Australian store.
Bambu Lab sells no extended warranty in the United States. A US owner who wants cover beyond the standard warranty can get it only from a retailer, as that retailer’s own plan; 3D printer extended warranties compares them. Bambu Lab’s own one-year Extended Warranty Service is sold only through its Canadian, European and Australian stores, with a new H2C, H2D, H2S, P2S or X2D in the same order.

Does Bambu Lab offer an extended warranty?
Not in the United States. Bambu Lab sells its Extended Warranty Service only in Australia, Canada and Europe. Its US terms page lists those regions plus the United Kingdom, and says a region missing from the list has no extended warranty service. A printer bought from Bambu Store US has only the 2-year standard warranty.
The US terms page puts it this way: “If you cannot find the extended warranty terms for your country/region in the list above, it means we currently do not offer extended warranty services in your country/region.”
Can US owners buy an extended warranty for a Bambu Lab printer?
Only from a retailer, as the retailer’s own contract. MatterHackers, for example, lists a “Bambu Lab P2S Extended 2 Year Warranty” at $119 and an A Series plan at $99 at the time of writing (October 2026). Both listings describe 2 years of cover in total, counting the standard warranty.
Bambu Lab’s standard warranty already runs 2 years on a printer bought through Bambu Store US. For a printer bought from a reseller, its policy says to follow the reseller’s own return and replacement policies (Bambu Lab warranty has the details). Before paying, check how many years a retailer plan adds beyond your current warranty.
Which printers can get the Bambu Lab extended warranty?
Bambu Lab’s support page lists the H2C, H2D, H2S, P2S and X2D, plus its R1 laser. The X1 and P1 series, the A1 and the A1 mini are not on the list. In the European store, the plan appears as a “Warranty Extensions” add-on on an eligible printer’s product page.
Bambu Lab extended warranty for the P2S and X2D
The P2S and X2D are both eligible, but not in the US. In Bambu Lab’s European store in October 2026, the “P2S / One-year Extended Warranty” costs €39 on a P2S priced at €699. The “X2D / One-year Extended Warranty” costs €59 on an X2D priced at €849.
Is there a Bambu Lab A1 extended warranty?
No. Neither the A1 nor the A1 mini is on the eligible list, and the A1 product page in Bambu Lab’s European store offers no warranty extension. In the US, extra cover for either comes only from a retailer plan, such as the MatterHackers A Series plan above.
What does the Bambu Lab Extended Warranty Service cover?
The service covers repair of the main printer only, for “defects in materials, workmanship and function under normal use”. Under the Canadian terms that means repairs and replacement parts, not a replacement printer or a refund, plus chat or ticket support for the plan’s term.

- AMS units (Bambu Lab’s multi-spool filament changers): the AMS, AMS lite, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT
- Printer parts: the extruder, front door, side panels, and top and bottom covers
- Other items: the MicroSD card and Maker’s Supply parts
- Consumables: the hotend assembly and nozzle, extruder gears, build plates, glue, PTFE tubes, the cutter, scraper and nozzle wiper kit, the activated carbon filter, desiccant and filament
The terms list 16 situations in which Bambu Lab can refuse a claim, including maintenance not done to Bambu Lab’s requirements, drops, unauthorized modification or repair, and “machine failure or damage caused by the use of parts of other brands or low-quality consumables”. How third-party parts affect cover in general is on does upgrading void the warranty.
How long is the Bambu Lab extended warranty, and when can you buy it?
The Bambu Lab extended warranty lasts one year and cannot be renewed. In Canada it starts “at 24:00 on the expiration date” of the standard warranty, so with the 2-year standard warranty from Bambu Store CA the plan ends 3 years after the printer arrived. The European terms likewise add 12 months after a 2-year basic guarantee. Bambu Lab stopped selling its 2-year plan in Canada on September 22, 2026; plans already bought run to term.
You can buy it only with a new printer: the Canadian terms say the service “may be purchased only at the same time as the purchase of a new eligible Bambu Lab printer” from Bambu Lab’s Canadian store, in the same order. It is not sold for used, refurbished, open-box or returned printers. Each printer in an order needs its own plan.
An unactivated plan can be canceled for a refund within 30 days of purchase. If Bambu Lab accepts a return of the printer, it also refunds the plan.
How is the Bambu Lab extended warranty activated and claimed?
Bambu Lab normally binds the plan to the printer’s serial number automatically. If it does not, bind it yourself on Bambu Lab’s warranty binding page or ask support. The plan’s status and repair records then show in the Support section of the Bambu Lab website.
To claim, contact Bambu Lab support during the plan’s term with the serial number and the purchase receipt, as for a standard claim (Bambu Lab warranty claims). Bambu Lab pays shipping for covered repairs. If testing shows the fault is not covered, you may pay for parts, repair and shipping.
Does the Bambu Lab extended warranty transfer to a new owner?
Yes, in Canada, with the printer. The plan is tied to the serial number and passes to the next owner if:
- the plan has not expired or been canceled
- the printer stays in Canada
- the new owner can show the original purchase proof and the service proof
- both owners complete Bambu Lab’s account unbinding and rebinding steps
The plan cannot be exchanged for cash, sold on its own or moved to another printer. If Bambu Lab replaces the printer under the standard warranty, the plan is re-bound to the replacement.
Is the Bambu Lab extended warranty worth it?
Bambu Lab does not sell its extended warranty in the US. Where it is sold, the answer depends on its price versus the cost of a covered repair in the one year it adds, which in Canada and Europe is year three. It covers boards, heatbed, screen, motors and fans, not the hotend, extruder, AMS or panels.
Price against the printer. In the European store, €39 is about 6% of a €699 P2S, and €59 is about 7% of an €849 X2D.

The P2S AP board and heatbed prices are for the store’s “LV” versions. The Canadian terms add that a repair outside cover can also carry labor, packaging and round-trip shipping costs.
